Group Class/Ensemble and Theory Registration
We supplement the private classes with groups, ensembles and theory classes. Select your group and/or theory based upon the level description. If your child has only recently started, please contact the school to see if your child is ready.

Group A
Time: 3:30-4:30

Level: For students in Suzuki Guitar Book One
Class Description: Students work on Suzuki repertoire from book one and early book two in group setting, perform for each other, and work on music skills/theory.
Group B
Time: 2:30-3:30

Class Description: Students work on repertoire in group, perform for each other, and work on music theory in class.

Theory RCM Book 1
Time: 3:30-4:00

Class Description: Discovery of pitch and notation concepts. This theory class is meant for Group C (or Group B if you have experience with music theory).

Theory RCM Book 2
Time: 3:30-4:00
Dates: 9/15, 9/29, 10/13, 10/27, 11/17, 12/8, 1/5, 1/19
Teacher: Timothy Sherren
Class Description: Concepts include: major and minor keys with one sharp or flat, application of time signatures, bar lines, rests, the harmonic minor scale, and chord symbols for tonic triads. This theory class is meant for Groups D and E.

RCM Book Five
Time: 2:15-3:00
Dates: 9/15, 9/29, 10/13, 10/27, 11/17, 12/8, 1/5, 1/19
Teacher: Chris Mallett and Robert Miller
Class Description: This class covers major and minor keys up to three sharps or flats, transposition with change of clef, minor intervals, subdominant triads, writing four-measure melodies. This theory class is meant for groups G and H.
Adult Guitar Ensemble
Time: Sundays 12:00-1:00 p.m.
Dates: Weekly 9/9/18 to 1/13/19 (except for holiday breaks).
Teacher: Babak Falsafi
Class Description: This class will meet 16 times in total, and will have a performance at the end of the session. Music will be provided for the class, and it is open to intermediate to advanced students.
